Fengshui relationships between five elements and human life

Fengshui relationships between the five elements and human life may seem complicated, but they are in fact logical deductions which seems to adhere closely to normal human customs and relationships.

For clarity , a wood based person would have such relationships:
1) wood element is the self ,colleagues , and competition.
2) water element is the mother, resources, support, authority
3) earth element is the wife, father , wealth , money
4) metal element is the son , status, pressure, power
5) fire element is the intelligence , expression

At first glance, it may not be easy to understand why earth symbolises the father of a wood person or why metal is his son.The process is one of logical deduction.

Water represents the mother as it gives birth to wood.
The element which conquers water is earth. Therefore earth is the husband of the mother and hence the father of a wood person.Similarly , a wood person's wife is represented by the earth element as this is conquered by wood. The earth element gives birth to metal , so metal thereby becomes the symbol of the son.
